HOW SHOULD YOU PRESENT YOURSELF? AND WHAT KIND OF PHRASING IS APPROPRIATE?

Dos

  • correct grammar and spelling
  • short and powerful sentences
  • informative and appealing design
  • direct and emotional style of communication
  • Facebook: less formal style / LinkedIn: more formal style
  • always write "MEIKO" in capital letters, apart from the #MEIKO hashtag
  • always write names of products/product lines in exactly the way defined by the PM

Don'ts

  • slang or dialect
  • racist comments
  • political opinions
  • socially unacceptable or discriminatory statements
  • criticism of other people or companies
  • expletives/swear words
  • confusing or ambiguous texts

Please remain neutral when responding to any negative or critical comments; try to continue the discussion in a private message and find a solution.

Dos

  • primarily use the ready-made templates from Canva
  • be guided by what MEIKO Offenburg is posting
  • images and videos don't have to be "perfect", but they should be authentic
  • make sure you have good exposure and resolution in all your shots
  • only use the MEIKO brand fonts and colours

Don'ts

  • never post photographs, videos or other items that could damage the MEIKO brand
  • never post images of areas to which our customers and competitors do not have access (e.g. production or product development)
  • do not design your own logos, filters, fonts, colours, etc. 
  • never publish images of people without their consent

THE TOPICS TO FOCUS ON – AND THE TOPICS TO AVOID.

Dos

  • communicate using your private profile on behalf of MEIKO
  • offer insights into your daily work and cool experiences as a MEIKO employee
  • trade fairs and events
  • new products, features and added value
  • target customers, partners and colleagues
  • repost/share things that have already been posted about MEIKO
  • posts by references, partners, customers and colleagues with their permission
  • creative discussions and questions
  • regular posts and quick responses to comments and direct messages

Don'ts

  • create new profiles containing the name MEIKO
  • use company data without permission (e.g. prices, technical details or the inner workings of products)
  • use market data without approval
  • write posts about employees or customers without their consent
  • write about controversial topics
  • post half-truths or write about topics you're not sure about
  • deceptive or misleading posts

The managing directors of each region must accept responsibility for all social media content posted by dealers and brand ambassadors in their territory.
